1996-06-22 King George V Memorial Park Hong Kong Hospital Road re-opened

re-opened Hospital Road. 1996-06-22 The eventual site of the park was once a fort which protected warehouses in Sai Ying Pun from being robbed by pirates or fleets of vessels from other countries. One can still find traces of the old fort in the northwest corner of the park today. The Civil Hospital on Hospital Road from King George V Memorial Park There are two King George V Memorial Parks in Hong Kong. One is on the Hong Kong Island while the other is located in Jordan, Kowloon.
