1931 Sir Cecil’s Ride path

Sir Cecil‘s Ride was named in memory of Sir Cecil Clementi, who served as Hong Kong‘s Governor from 1925 to 1930. Sir Cecil and his wife, Lady Marie Penelope, frequented the path on the Peak during their stay in Hong Kong.
Their favorite riding routes have now become one of Hong Kong‘s most famous hiking trails today. The trail, which intersects with Stage 2 of the Wilson Trail above the Kornhill, provides a relaxing and peaceful hiking experience.
It allows you to walk from the city to the hills within three hours. You may experience the beauty of nature, and learn about Hong Kong‘s ecology and wartime history through the wealth of fauna, flora and relics along the trail.
