Enjoying the races on the Black Rock, Happy Valley Racecourse, 1890; The Black Rock, located inside the belt of the track, is an attractive place to watch race meetings. It is almost like a trademark of the Valley and is seen in the oldest pictures of the racecourse. The photo shows racegoers congregating on the rock and made good use of this vantage point for the back straight. Oil Painting
