1500 medieval ring tilting or Jousting

Jousting is a martial game or hastilude between horsemen each wielding a lance with a blunted tip, often as part of Medieval tournament. 1637-11-12 Peter Mundy recorded “they were Running at the ring, where aboutt 15 or 16 Cavalleros on Horsebacke ran att the Ring”. Caballero (plural: Caballeros), the Spanish word for “knight” or “gentleman”.
