JIM AND TONIC ran in Sha Tin 7 times and became a jolly good old fellow for the Hong Kong race goers.

Scoring at least a place in most of his Hong Kong performances contended among famous rivals from all over the world during his previous competitions globally.

1998, his victory in the Hong Kong Bowl at Sha Tin Racecourse made him the first French horse to win his most important overseas race.

He claimed prize money totally exceeding $18,000,000.

2001-12-16, he faced the strong contenders in the International Race; the Hong Kong Cup, including the 2nd runner-up at the Breeders’ Cup Mile; BACH, the first runner-up at Champion Stakes of Dubai; TOBOUGG, and the other two horses; CHOC ICE ( IRE) and TERRE A TERRE (FR).

Trainer F Doumen said that JIM AND TONIC had been perfectly fit for the races with not doubt at all, though he just got a second place in the Arch, with excusable reason of the soft ground. Then the victory of the Dubai in March was a solid prove to substantiate his strength despite aging factors.

However JIM AND TONIC got only a fith Place in the race, as he was not ridden by his former 6 times jockey Gerald Mosse.
