Sharing The Bowl

1995-12-10 Race 5, 1400m, Hong Kong International Bowl

MONOPOLIZE was a 12 to 1, due to the previous lost in Melbourne soft ground.

It stayed at the back of the field for most of the run even after the final turn.

Shoot out from outside by Wayne Harris, he successfully held off the challenges.

In 1.21.50, MONOPOLIZE broke the 1400m record on good to firm Sha Tin turf.

1996-12-08 Race 5, 1400m, Hong Kong International Bowl

MONOPOLIZE was a 6 to 1, due to the previous triumph in Hong Kong.

Darren Beadman had MONOPOLIZE well balanced along the rail.

The combination gave a great performance to prove their fame as champions of the state down-under.

MONOPOLIZE, under the heavy whipping of 29 times by Beadman, holding off at the finishing line.

Beadman’s urged MONOPOLIZE to win by a short head.

In 1.22.00 MONOPOLIZE‘s successive Invitation Bowl victory was a dream come true especially for Beadman.

SUMMARY

MONOPOLIZE scored the same trophy both in exciting battles of rigorous rides.
